This website is dedicated to cyclist Walter Rutt, who played a significant role in the pioneering years of track cycling. He was one of the world's top cycle sprinters and six-day cyclists and was considered a figurehead of his sport.
During his 25-year professional career, he recorded 933 victories and crowned his career in 1913 with the title of world champion. He won the Six-Day race of New York three times and the Berlin Six-Day Race five times. The public celebrated him enthusiastically, and he enjoyed great respect among his competitors.
